The Couple
Mickel and Tamara first met as family friends. After a party, Mickel pretended to be sick, so Tamara pulled the car over so he could get out. When she came around the car to check on him, he was actually on one knee, proposing to her.
The Planning
Together with their Destify agent, Melissa Petrie, they chose the RIU Montego Bay all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. Once planning with the wedding department, it proved to be an easy process. Tamara said, “Our planner did a great job”.
The Wedding
Before the big day, guests spent their time enjoying the food, bars, and pools at RIU Montego Bay. The couple held their ceremony on the beach, at 4pm. Tamara’s daughter walked her down the aisle, with the ocean as the backdrop. A reception followed at one of the resort’s delicious a-la-carte restaurants. The couple loved that the wedding brought friends and family together from near and far. Tamara said, “It was the best part of the whole trip”.
Looking Back
Tamara’s advice for future brides and couples is to live, laugh, and love, because we only have one life. Have the wedding as you want, after all, this is your big day.
